About Neil
Neil
Ainger is a freelance treasury, financial services and technology business
journalist. In addition to his core journalism,
which has been published by numerous international titles and trade publications
both on a staff and freelance basis, Neil
provides a number of copywriting/editorial/moderation
services to banks, technology companies and corporate clients, including
show reports/previews, event moderation, web content and thought leadership
articles.
Previously the editor-in-chief of the gtnews and bobsguide online titles,
covering treasury and fintech respectively for the Association for Financial
Professionals (AFP, 2 years), Neil has also worked as deputy editor at
Informa's Banking Technology [1.5 years] and edited Financial Sector Technology
(FSTech) magazine for five years. In addition, he has worked at Reed Elsevier's
offices in Oxford [2001-2005] as a technical journalist in the Elsevier
Advanced Technology (EAT) unit covering renewable energy and other engineering
titles. His areas of expertise after almost 20 years in journalism include:
treasury and cash management, payments, retail/investment banking, trading
technology and data centres, mobile financial services, risk management,
treasury technology, SWIFT, SEPA, eBAM, regulation, cloud computing, 'big
data' and information security.
